In 2023, the group's Chairman, Zhang Bo, was elected as a deputy to the 14th National People's Congress.

In 2021, the group's Party Secretary and General Manager, Zhang Hongxia, was recognized as a National Outstanding CPC Party Member.

In 2019, the group became one of the world's top 500 brands. With an investment of 820 million Yuan, the green and intelligent textile integration project was completed and put into operation. Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy was officially launched.

In 2018, taxes paid by the Group at all levels exceeded 10 billion Yuan for the first time, reaching 10.9 billion Yuan.

In 2012, the group successfully entered the World's Top 500, breaking the "zero record" of the World's Top 500 in Shandong Province.

In 2004, the headquarters of the group was moved from Weiqiao town to Zouping county after the construction of the office building and supporting projects was successfully completed.

On September 24, 2003, Weiqiao Textile was listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (stock code: 2698).

On October 18, 2003, the company officially changed its name to "Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co., LTD", "Weiqiao Pioneering Group" for short.

In 2002, three textile industrial parks, Zouwei First Park, Zouwei Second Park and Weiwei Industrial Park were constructed. Weiqiao textile has become the world's largest cotton textile enterprise.

In 2000, two textile industrial buildings of 300,000 square meters were built.

In February 1999, the enterprise held Binzhou No. 1 cotton mill, restructured and established "Binzhou Weiqiao Textile Co., LTD.", which turned losses into profits that year. In October, a thermal power plant costing 120 million Yuan and generating 200 million kilowatts of electricity a year was put into operation. In November, Weiqiao Textile Co., Ltd. was established.

In 1998, Shandong Weiqiao Textile Group Co., LTD was established.

In 1996, under the general depression of the cotton textile industry in the country, all the indicators of our company reached the best level in history, ranking the first in the same industry in the country.

In 1995, 15 million Yuan was invested in a new denim production line with an annual output of 9 million meters.

In 1993, Zouping County the fifth oil and cotton factory was renamed Zouping County Weiqiao cotton textile factory. The enterprise entered the national textile industry top 500.

In 1992, the Sino-foreign joint venture was established, which laid a foundation for its rapid development.

In 1990, 32 million Yuan was invested to build a 30,000 spindle cotton mill.

In 1989, approved by the Ministry of Commerce to be promoted to "National Level 2 Enterprise”.

In 1988, the enterprise was approved by the Ministry of Commerce to be "National Level 2 Enterprise".

In 1986, the whole factory workers raised 890 thousand Yuan to build a towel factory with an annual output of 5 million pieces.

In 1985, after the peanut oil project was launched, the annual profit and tax exceeded 2 million Yuan, and the enterprise developed into the largest oil processing enterprise in China.

In 1984, the director responsibility system was implemented in the county firstly. The factory was renamed Zouping County the fifth oil and cotton factory.

In 1981, Zhang Shiping served as the director of Zouping County Weiqiao oil and cotton processing factory, and  implemented contract system of management.
