On February 24, the provincial project expansion and investment growth promotion meeting, along with the 2025 Spring High-Quality Development Major Projects Construction Site Promotion Meeting, were held in Jinan. Provincial Party Secretary Lin Wu delivered a speech and announced the commencement of projects, while Provincial Party Vice Secretary and Governor Zhou Naixiang also spoke. Other attendees included Provincial CPPCC Chairman Ge Huijun, Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee Vice Chairman and Party Secretary Yang Dongqi.

At the meeting, representatives from cities such as Jinan, Qingdao, Dongying, as well as provincial departments like the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department, Transportation Department, and business leaders including Zhang Bo, Chairman of Weiqiao Pioneering Group, reported on their progress. 

Following the meeting, 1,006 major projects across the province officially started, with a total investment of 1.0427 trillion yuan and an annual investment plan of 376.2 billion yuan. Various cities also reported on their project construction progress.
