On June 19, during the 6th Qingdao Multinational Corporation Leaders Summit, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with South Korea’s POSCO International in Qingdao. Prior to the signing ceremony, Mr. Zhang Bo, Chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, met with Mr. Lee Ki-In, CEO of POSCO International. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the iron ore business and future collaboration.

During the meeting, Chairman Zhang Bo introduced the progress of the Simandou Winning Alliance project. He noted that both companies operate across multiple sectors, offering broad potential for cooperation. He expressed hope that this agreement would mark the beginning of deeper and more pragmatic collaboration between the two sides across a wider range of areas, to achieve mutual benefit and shared growth.

CEO Lee Ki-In stated that POSCO International has offices in many countries and regions worldwide, with a strong supply chain and global network. He expressed enthusiasm for deepening cooperation with Weiqiao Pioneering Group in the iron ore sector and beyond, jointly exploring new market opportunities and building a model of international cooperation.
