On July 9, Yunnan Province held an on-site meeting on extending, supplementing, and strengthening the green aluminum industrial chain and promoting the construction of green and low-carbon demonstration industrial parks. During the meeting, a commissioning ceremony was held for the Yunnan Green and Low-Carbon Demonstration Industrial Park and the Wenshan Zhilv Project.

        The main venue was set in the Green and Low-Carbon Demonstration Industrial Park in Honghe Prefecture, with a sub-venue in the Yunnan Wenshan Green Aluminum Innovation Industrial Park. Key attendees at the main venue included Wang Yubo, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and Governor of Yunnan Province; Zhao Junmin, Member of the Standing Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Yunnan; Wang Shufen, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People’s Congress and President of the Yunnan Charity Federation; Zhao Ruijun, Secretary of the CPC Honghe Prefectural Committee; and Luo Ping, Deputy Secretary and Governor of Honghe Prefecture. Also attending were Zhang Bo, Chairman of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and Cui Lixin, Chairman of Shandong Innovation Group. At the sub-venue in Wenshan Prefecture, attendees included Liu Yong, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province; Zhao Guoliang, Secretary of the CPC Wenshan Prefectural Committee; and Ma Zhongjun, Deputy Secretary and Governor of Wenshan Prefecture.

        In his speech, Wang Yubo extended warm congratulations on the commissioning of the demonstration park on behalf of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. He emphasized two main points for future development: Leverage major project implementation to accelerate the extension, supplementation, and reinforcement of the green aluminum industrial chain. Build the park into a model for regional economic development.

        In his remarks, Zhao Ruijun stated that Honghe Prefecture will actively promote investment along the industrial chain and attract more high-tech, high-value-added, green and low-carbon industries. The prefectural government will create a top-tier business environment to support enterprise growth and promote mutual success.

        In his speech, Zhang Bo noted that since entering Yunnan six years ago, Weiqiao has deeply felt the support and enthusiasm from all levels of the local Party committees and governments, provincial departments, and people of all ethnic groups. He expressed hope that entrepreneurs will carry forward the spirit of the new era, draw inspiration from Weiqiao’s development experience in Yunnan, seize new opportunities in the green and low-carbon demonstration park, and work together to build a prosperous and mutually beneficial future in this land of promise.

        The meeting also included a donation ceremony in which Weiqiao Pioneering Group donated public service vehicles to the Yunnan Charity Federation. The donation included 520 MPV vehicles (Wangpai MPV520) and RMB 7.8 million in funds, with a total value of RMB 101 million. The donation is designated to support charitable welfare initiatives across Yunnan.

        Following the ceremony, Zhang Bo accompanied provincial leaders on a visit to the Zhiyun Center and electrolytic workshop of Honghe Xinxing Materials Company. The delegation then traveled to the Green Aluminum Innovation Industrial Park in Yanshan County, Wenshan Prefecture, to conduct an on-site inspection of the Wenshan Zhilv Project.
