On November 9, the symposium on cooperation between Weiqiao Pioneering
and Central South University was held at the headquarters of Weiqiao Pioneering
Group. At the symposium, the donation ceremony of Weiqiao scholarship of
Central South University was successfully completed. Weiqiao Pioneering and
Central South University signed a letter of intent for cooperation in three
scientific research projects: Key Technologies of inert anode carbon free
aluminum electrolysis, new technologies of intelligent and efficient clean
aluminum electrolysis, and key technologies of comprehensive utilization of red
mud.
Tian Hongqi, president of Central South University and
academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Bo, chairman of Weiqiao Pioneering
Group, Cui Lixin, executive vice president of Shandong Aluminum Association and
president of Binzhou Aluminum Association, and Yang congsen, deputy general
manager of Weiqiao Pioneering Group and general manager of Shandong Hongqiao New
Materials Company, etc. attended the symposium.
Tian hongqi said that Weiqiao Pioneering's entrepreneurial heart for family, country and the world was the backbone of the revitalization of national industry. Central South University attached great importance to the comprehensive strategic cooperation with Weiqiao, and would further strengthen the school-enterprise contact, jointly promote the implementation and transformation of a large number of major achievements, and jointly build the world's leading aluminum industrial technology system.
Zhang Bo warmly welcomed the arrival of Academician Tian
Hongqi and experts and scholars, and briefly introduced the development history
of the enterprise, and elaborated on the fundamental path for the enterprise to
achieve high-quality development centered on the two basic industrial blocks of
textile and aluminum in the future. He believed that this symposium and the
signing of the contract would open a new page for the cooperation between
Weiqiao and Central South University and achieve more results together.
