2026 Binzhou International Home Textiles Conference & ITMF Home Textiles Producers Committee Meeting Held

On August 21, the 2026 Binzhou International Home Textiles Cooperation Conference and 2026 International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) Home Textiles Producers Committee Meeting was successfully held at the Zouping Weiqiao Narada Grand Hotel.

 

The conference was held under the guidance of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) and jointly organized by the China Home Textile Association, the ITMF Home Textiles Producers Committee, and the Binzhou Textile Industry Association. Distinguished guests attending the conference included Sun Ximin, Vice Governor of Shandong Province and Member of the Leading Party Members Group of the Shandong Provincial Government; Li Chuntian, Secretary of the CPC Binzhou Municipal Committee; Sun Ruizhe, Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of CNTAC; Hon Sunny Tan, Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council; Dr. Christian P. Schindler, Director General of ITMF; and Dirk Vantyghem, Director General of EURATEX. The conference also brought together industry representatives from more than ten countries, including Germany and India, as well as representatives from vice president member companies of the China Home Textile Association, textile and apparel industry associations in Shandong and Henan, and leading enterprises across the sector.

 

Sun Ximin, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, delivered an address.

 

Li Chuntian, Secretary of the CPC Binzhou Municipal Committee, delivered an address.

 

Xu Yingxin elaborated on the Chinese textile industry's commitment to further opening up and safeguarding the stability of global industrial and supply chains.

 

Zhang Hongxia, Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, said that the Group would leverage its strengths as a leading enterprise across the industrial chain and build on Binzhou's strong industrial cluster to deepen pragmatic cooperation with partners worldwide and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the home textiles industry.

Sun Ruizhe, Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, delivered a keynote report entitled “Deepening Global Cooperation for a Shared Future of Home Textiles.”

 

Yang Zhaohua, Vice President of CNTAC and Chairman of the ITMF Home Textiles Producers Committee, chaired the conference.

 

During the “Global Voices” session, international guests including Dr. Christian P. Schindler, Director General of ITMF; Nashwa Bakr, Director of Investment Promotion at the Egyptian Commercial Service; and Xie Ziyang, Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association, shared their insights on global industry trends and engaged in in-depth discussions on multilateral cooperation.

 

Lu Mingtao, Vice Mayor of Binzhou, presented Binzhou to the global audience in a presentation entitled “Textiles Across the Globe, Woven in Binzhou — An Invitation to Opportunities in a World-Class Textile Cluster.”

 

Zhao Suhua, Vice President of Shandong Weiqiao Textile Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a presentation entitled “Connecting the World through Green Value Chains, Exploring a Low-Carbon Future — Weiqiao Textile's Path to Green, Low-Carbon and High-Quality Development.”

She introduced the company's achievements and strategic initiatives in areas including green energy substitution, carbon footprint management, and the development of low-carbon textile products.

 

In the afternoon, participants joined three parallel forums under the themes of “Green · Symbiosis,” “Going Global · Setting Sail,” and “Brand · Resonance.”

Industry leaders and experts exchanged views, shared insights and built consensus on the future development of the global home textiles industry.

 

 

 

On August 22, participating guests visited Weiqiao Pioneering Group for a site tour, gaining first-hand insights into the Group's industrial practices and dynamic development.
