Recently, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province issued the "Announcement on the List of Shandong Province Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base in 2023 (the fifth batch)", which identified 13 units such as Binzhou Weiqiao-UCAS Research Academy of Advanced Technology (hereinafter referred to as " Research Academy of Advanced Technology") as Shandong postdoctoral innovation practice base.

Research Academy of Advanced Technology is located in Weiqiao-UCAS (Binzhou) Science and Technology Park, facing the major challenges of national science and technology and the core needs of Binzhou's "dual city" construction, carrying two blueprints of "Science and Innovation Binzhou" and "Science and Technology Weiqiao", adopting the integrated layout model of science, education, innovation and production. Seven R&D centers have been established around seven technological fields, including metal materials, advanced textile materials, high-end chemical materials, intelligent manufacturing, energy and environment, aviation and special applications and future technologies, to play a role in developing advanced manufacturing and building a solid foundation for the real economy.
